TL;DR
Process Quality Engineer Lead (Manufacturing): Validating manufactured products against customer quality standards and developing quality systems through APQP, corrective actions, preventive actions, and continuous improvement. Focus on leading customer complaint investigations, FMEAs, audit planning, lean manufacturing initiatives, and a team of process quality experts and controllers.
Location: On-site in Zejtun, Malta, at Bulebel Industrial Estate

What you will do
- Monitor and analyze product quality performance using APQP.
- Develop and implement quality control systems and drive continuous improvements, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
- Investigate product and production issues, lead customer complaint investigations, and manage related communications.
- Lead Kaizen events, quality system improvements, lean manufacturing practices, FMEAs, job planning, and job closure.
- Support new machinery process qualification and floor management activities, including Gemba, escalations, and daily routines.
- Lead process quality experts and quality controllers while supporting product and process audit planning.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role or a quality-related function.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent related field.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and lean processes.
- Demonstrated project management competency and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Fluent English and availability for on-site work in Zejtun, Malta.
