Location: Hybrid in Tokyo (Ariake, Koto-ku) or Nagoya (Aichi), Japan. Willing to travel up to 30% domestic and international.

What you will do

• Deliver Telematic Units ensuring schedule, budget, and quality goals.
• Act as the primary customer contact for all software topics.
• Orchestrate virtual, cross-functional, global project teams.
• Plan, monitor, control, and track software projects with milestone schedules.
• Establish project management processes and lifecycle activities aligned with standards.
• Provide regular status updates and represent the program in reviews.

Requirements

• Fluent Japanese (Level 2) and Business English.
• University degree in engineering (Electrical, IT, Computer Science) or Business Administration.
• Expert knowledge in project management and coordination in global distributed environments (Waterfall, Agile).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to understand and structure complex systems.
• Knowledge of process models (e.g., Automotive SPICE, CMMI).
• Team management experience with 10+ people directly or indirectly.
• Willing to travel up to 30% domestic and international; pass background check/aptitude test.

Nice to have

• Certified PMP or similar.
• Automotive experience and ASPICE Level 3 projects.
• Experience in real-time embedded software development.
• Team management with 25+ people.
• Fluent Japanese (Level 1).
