What you will do
- Manage, coach, and support a software engineering team while contributing code when possible.
- Own team delivery, outcomes, estimates, planning, and progress across multiple releases.
- Learn and manage system architectures, integrations, configurations, and upstream and downstream impacts.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, engineers, and project stakeholders on complex software designs.
- Establish and promote engineering best practices, design reviews, and implementation reviews.
- Communicate risks and roadblocks and participate in an on-call support rotation when required.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Experience managing people and leading software development teams through multiple product or platform releases.
- Significant individual-contributor experience as a Senior Engineer in real-world software development.
- Experience delivering large-scale, scalable, available, and low-latency cloud-native systems.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, messaging systems, pub/sub queues, request/response patterns, and data streaming.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot and applying AI to operational and business problems.
