Functional Owner (Telematics)

Location: Hybrid work in Bucharest, Romania, with 3 days per week required in the Bucharest office

Salary: RON 246,000–360,800 gross annually

What you will do

• Plan, control, and monitor tasks for the assigned telematics domain.
• Track integration of software modules and related work products into the overall project.
• Technically lead domain team members and coordinate engineering activities.
• Analyze and clarify requirements, interfaces, architecture, timelines, and change requests with customers, internal domains, and suppliers.
• Manage domain-related issues and tickets, support proof-of-concept activities, and provide status reports to project leadership and management.
• Ensure compliance with customer-required software engineering processes and methods, including Automotive SPICE and SAFe.

Requirements

• University degree at MSc or BSc level.
• At least 5 years of experience with embedded systems, preferably in automotive, and at least 8 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and software engineering, including OOA, OOD, and OOP.
• Experience coordinating engineering teams and working with external customers or OEMs.
• Strong analytical, system understanding, communication, and technical presentation skills.
• Good English language skills and willingness to work from the Bucharest office 3 days per week are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with infotainment, telematics, and automotive projects.
• Knowledge of C, C++, Linux, UML-based software architecture, JIRA, Confluence, ALM, and DOORS.
• Knowledge of V-Model, Automotive SPICE, agile methods, and SAFe.
