TL;DR

Lead Data Analytics & AI Engineer (Snowflake/dbt): Building and evolving data pipelines, models, and feature stores for hirify.global’s data ecosystem with an accent on architectural strategy, scalable analytics engineering, and AI/ML integration. Focus on designing high-quality data models, automating ingestion and transformation, and enabling advanced LLM-based and hybrid ML/AI workloads.

Location: Hybrid with 1 day per week onsite required in Sandyford, Dublin office, Ireland.

What you will do

• Set architectural strategy for data modeling, transformation, ingestion, and data products, guiding best practices across teams.
• Lead analytics engineering with Snowflake/dbt models, governance, testing standards, and mentoring on scalable design.
• Build and evolve data pipelines using Python, Spark, APIs, and automation for observability and resilience.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Drive advanced analytics and ML by defining feature pipelines and supporting classical ML and generative AI workloads.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience (8+ years) as senior IC in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data architecture.
• Expert-level SQL and data modeling on large-scale platforms (Snowflake preferred).
• Strong production data pipelines and models with Python, cloud services, and modern data stack tools.
• Proficiency with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
• Experience setting technical direction, architectural patterns, Git/GitHub workflows, and CI/CD in GitHub Actions.
• Ability to handle both analytics and data engineering responsibilities; cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in STEM/computer science/engineering.
• Dagster, Airflow, or orchestration tools; streaming/ event-based processing (Kafka, Flink, Kinesis).
• IaC like Terraform; classical ML, advanced analytics, generative AI; ML/AI workflows integration.
• Consumer data systems (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hightouch, Shopify); prior Staff/Senior Staff experience.
