Backend Developer

TL;DR

Backend Developer (Node.js/Python): Design, build, and operate backend services supporting mobile apps and web experiences with an accent on API quality, performance, and reliability. Location: Hybrid in Barcelona with full visa & relocation support if moving to Barcelona

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for mobile and web clients.
• Build and evolve microservices and RESTful APIs with clean architecture.
• Deploy, monitor, and support AI models and data-driven services in production.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability in distributed systems.
• Collaborate with mobile, frontend, AI, product, and DevOps teams to ship features end-to-end.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve system stability and observability.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of professional backend experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Python
• Experience with microservices architectures and RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of databases, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Comfortable working in English
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Nice to have

• Experience supporting mobile apps through backend APIs
• Experience deploying or operating AI/ML models
• Google Cloud services (Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, App Engine) and Firebase
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
• Backend security principles and secure API design
