What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to the mobile platform team, prioritizing initiatives to enable product teams.
• Define and uphold standards for mobile security, observability, performance, resilience, and release quality.
• Hands-on development and maintenance of shared platform capabilities in React Native and TypeScript, including native modules in Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, and Java.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, build reliability, release workflows, observability, crash reporting, and production incident management.
• Drive automated testing practices and collaborate with product/design teams on UI components and design systems.
• Promote adoption of tools/processes through mentoring, documentation, training, and evaluate tooling like potential Expo migration.

Requirements

• 8+ years in mobile engineering, including Tech Lead/Staff/Principal level
• 4+ years production React Native and TypeScript
• 4+ years native mobile (Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, Java)
• Own CI/CD, build/release improvements (essential)
• Strong mobile architecture knowledge (React Native bridges, native modules)
• Experience with observability/crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, Datadog) and incident handling
• Mobile testing (unit/integration/E2E: Detox, Appium, Jest)
• 1+ year leading mobile platform team with mentoring and standards
• Cross-functional collaboration and end-to-end project leadership
