Material Artist (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Material Artist (Gamedev): Creating high-quality realistic Sci-Fi materials for game environments and assets with an accent on physical accuracy and seamless Unreal Engine integration. Focus on developing hard surface and organic surfaces, implementing modular architectural kits, and optimizing assets for production.

Location: Remote or Onsite (Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro). Must not be based in the Russian Federation.

What you will do

• Create high-quality realistic Sci-Fi materials for game environments and assets.
• Develop physically accurate, visually rich, and production-ready materials for hard and organic surfaces.
• Create modular architectural kit elements and integrate assets into the engine.
• Perform basic level integration tasks.
• Collaborate with 3D, Technical, and Concept artists, as well as animators and the VFX team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Material Artist.
• Strong skills in hard surface and subdivision modeling.
• Experience with CAD software and basic knowledge of ZBrush.
• Deep understanding of physical properties of metallic and dielectric materials and surface damage principles.
• Experience with tileable textures, trim sheets, and game asset optimization.
• Must not be based in the Russian Federation.

Nice to have

• Sculpting skills.
• Experience with game engines and Substance Designer.
• English language proficiency.
