Layout Supervisor (Animation)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Direct, inspire, and mentor the CG Layout department crew.
• Supervise character blocking, set dressing, camera framing, and movement to maintain composition and storytelling.
• Collaborate with the Director of Photography to ensure project cinematic standards are met.
• Work with the CG Supervisor to test and develop efficient creative and technical pipeline workflows.
• Coordinate with 2D teams in a 2.5D workflow to facilitate efficient background creation.
• Manage shot bidding and ensure internally agreed deadlines are met in coordination with the production team.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Layout Supervisor in VFX and/or animated features.
• Strong demo reel specifically focused on layout and previs.
• Advanced knowledge of layout workflows, CG camera lens information, camera rigs, and cinematography.
• Strong sense of composition, animation timing, and narrative storytelling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with 2.5D workflows.
