Quality Control Analyst III (Pharmaceuticals)

Location: Rensselaer, New York, United States; laboratory-based role requiring extended standing or walking, manual dexterity, and close-vision work.

What you will do

• Perform analytical testing of raw materials, stability samples, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products.
• Execute chromatography and wet chemistry assays using HPLC, GC, balances, pH meters, UV/Vis spectrophotometers, and TOC analyzers.
• Maintain laboratory operations through housekeeping, instrument calibration, and audit-readiness activities.
• Review QC data and prepare technical summaries and reports for management.
• Support OOS investigations, deviations, and CAPAs using data-driven analysis.
• Coordinate sample receipt, processing, external testing, result tracking, and environmental water monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical quality control.
• Experience testing APIs and/or finished dosage forms.
• Working knowledge of HPLC and GC systems.
• Strong understanding of FDA GMP requirements, including 21 CFR 211, 820, and/or 600.
• Knowledge of ANOVA, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and statistical analysis; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or ISO 13485.
