Software Engineer (Virtualization)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Java/React): Building and maintaining a virtualization monitoring and troubleshooting platform with an accent on backend services, frontend interfaces, and third-party system connectors. Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in office) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Relocation package available for candidates from other countries.

What you will do

• Design and implement product features across backend, frontend, and integration layers.
• Develop and maintain connectors to external systems and APIs using REST and GraphQL.
• Enhance existing features to ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate in L3 support activities to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions to influence technical best practices.
• Advocate for and integrate AI tools into daily workflows to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with a track record of end-to-end feature delivery.
• High proficiency in modern Java for backend development.
• Experience with frontend technologies, specifically React and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of API design, resilience, and integration of 3rd party APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud environments, with a preference for AWS.

Nice to have

• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V, AVD, or Omnissa.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for system management and automation.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Expertise in refactoring and automated testing.
