What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain complex rigging and deformation systems.
- Drive improvements to pipelines, workflows, and tooling.
- Collaborate with Animation, Art, and Engineering to solve production challenges.
- Implement character setup within Unreal Engine, including cloth simulation, physics assets, and destruction systems.
- Ensure high-quality results while balancing performance and usability.
- Support and mentor less experienced team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in professional game development.
- Deep understanding of rigging systems, procedural approaches, and deformation.
- Strong scripting skills using Python and relevant APIs.
- Experience working with real-time engines and runtime constraints.
- English: Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Helsinki, Finland.
