Salary: $150,000 - $240,000 (US) / CAD $165,000 - $260,000 (Canada)

What you will do

• Design and run rigorous evaluations of AI-generated outputs to ensure they meet professional legal standards.
• Review and validate product outputs for accuracy, relevance, comprehensiveness, and helpfulness.
• Draft and iterate on system prompts for various AI systems to optimize behavioral performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and GTM teams to diagnose performance gaps and develop technical solutions.
• Build and annotate complex legal datasets and document collections to improve model training.
• Translate nuanced legal concepts into clear product requirements and testable evaluation criteria.

Requirements

• Law degree with 3+ years of corporate-commercial/transactional legal experience, preferably in-house.
• Deep expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
• Proven experience using generative AI for legal work and conducting evaluations of AI outputs.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills to design and interpret evaluation metrics.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering teams.
