Android Engineer (SDK)

TL;DR

Android Engineer (Mobile SDK): Developing and improving Android SDKs for identity intelligence with an accent on performance, stability, and developer experience. Focus on designing scalable interfaces, enhancing existing frameworks, and automating release processes.

Location: Remote or Hybrid (Zagreb, New York). Must be based in Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, or Romania.

What you will do

• Build highly stable and reliable Android SDKs used by global clients.
• Collaborate with product owners and cross-platform engineering teams (iOS, Web, C++).
• Define requirements and design scalable interfaces and frameworks.
• Ensure seamless SDK integration by focusing on developer experience.
• Improve and automate release processes.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of engineering practices and tools.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Hands-on experience with Coroutines, Flows, and Jetpack Compose.
• Solid understanding of Android architecture and best practices (MVVM, Lifecycle, Jetpack).
• Experience designing SDKs and APIs with a focus on stability and backward compatibility.
• Must be based in Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, or Romania.

Nice to have

• Experience with Android NDK and/or C++.
• Experience with cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
• Knowledge of building bridges/plugins between native and cross-platform layers.
