Salary: $195,000 – $243,000

What you will do

• Own gameplay AI systems and oversee all related engineering tasks and development.
• Directly manage and mentor a team of AI engineers, supporting their career growth and technical skills.
• Architect and implement production-quality C++ code for AI behaviors, tools, and workflows.
• Provide technical leadership and define the long-term AI roadmap for the project.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver exceptional, believable gameplay experiences.
• Drive innovation in NPC behaviors to ensure they contribute meaningfully to storytelling.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Shipped at least one AAA game (or equivalent complexity) in a Gameplay AI role.
• Proven experience shipping a AAA title using Unreal Engine.
• At least 7 years of professional C++ experience.
• Strong mathematical foundations.

Nice to have

• Experience with console development.
• Knowledge of machine learning.
