What you will do

• Build internal tools, service templates, and shared libraries defining golden paths for backend services
• Improve backend developer workflows for local development, debugging, and testing
• Design and maintain testing frameworks and CI-integrated quality systems
• Develop self-service capabilities for common engineering workflows
• Improve visibility into system quality and release confidence
• Partner with engineering teams to identify and solve workflow friction

Requirements

• 3+ years in Platform Engineering, Backend Engineering, or Developer Experience roles
• Strong backend skills in Typescript/Node.js, microservices, service-to-service communication
• Hands-on experience building internal tooling, shared libraries, or service templates
• Experience with testing frameworks, CI integration, and quality signals
• Product mindset for internal tools, focusing on colleague productivity
• Based in, or open to relocating to, the UAE

Nice to have

• Experience building developer platforms or tooling at fintech/high-scale orgs
• Track record of golden paths, service templates widely adopted
• History improving engineering velocity, release confidence, or code quality
• Shaping engineering standards, testing practices in fast-growing environments
• Tech community engagement via open source, speaking, writing
