What you will do

  • Lead and define technical art requirements across creative and technical teams for an unpublished R&D product.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of team members, including selection, onboarding, performance development, and feedback.
  • Establish best practices and pipelines for asset production to eliminate technical hurdles for artists.
  • Prototype new products and build efficient asset generation pipelines.
  • Collaborate with discipline leads in Singapore and Los Angeles to maintain workflow consistency and quality.
  • Provide technical support for art and animation within Maya and Motionbuilder.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Singapore.
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a technical artist in the games industry.
  • Deep expertise in Character Rigging, deformation systems, and dynamics (cloth, hair, physics-based motion).
  • Proficiency in Maya (with Python/C++ tool authoring) and Unreal Engine (Python and Blueprints).
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring teams and individuals.
  • English or Mandarin fluency required to convey abstract and sophisticated ideas concisely.

Nice to have

  • Experience authoring pipeline toolsets for lighting, shaders, and content optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D math, game engines, and UX/UI principles for tool development.
  • Experience managing distributed teams across different time zones and remote environments.
  • Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
