Design Systems Architect

TL;DR

What you will do

• Develop and maintain UI component library and scalable architecture in Figma using variants, properties, and auto layout
• Work with design tokens for colors, typography, spacing, and sync them with frontend components
• Conduct UI audits, support designers and developers, and create comprehensive documentation including onboarding and best practices
• Build and maintain Storybook for UI components
• Develop Figma plugins and tools to automate workflows, simplify token usage, and improve design-to-development handoff
• Create scripts to automate design system processes and token export/synchronization

Requirements

• Experience working with design systems and component libraries in Figma
• Experience with Storybook or similar component documentation systems
• Strong understanding of variants, auto layout, and component architecture
• Experience working with design tokens
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Ability to read and understand frontend code
• Experience working with Figma plugins or the Figma API

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale design systems
• Experience synchronizing tokens between Figma and code
• Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
