TL;DR

Senior Machine Learning Engineer (AI/ML Infrastructure): Designing and building scalable, high-performance AI/ML platform infrastructure for intelligent driving technologies with an accent on distributed training and resource optimization. Location: Remote in the US; must report to a GM hub three times a week if living within a specific radius. Willingness to travel to Sunnyvale, CA as needed.

Salary: $170,000 – $240,000

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance ML frameworks to support model training at scale.
• Optimize distributed training workflows to maximize resource utilization across heterogeneous hardware and reduce costs.
• Improve system observability, debuggability, and the overall developer experience of the AI platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and state-of-the-art AI technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of specialized experience in AI/ML infrastructure, specifically distributed training for large models.
• Strong proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with GPU computing and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Must be based in the US or eligible for relocation.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of PyTorch 2.x+, FSDP, and Pipeline Parallelism.
• Experience with profiling, debugging, and optimizing training and data loading performance.
