Motion Design Technologist

TL;DR

Motion Design Technologist (AdTech): Design and produce programmatic creative templates using client assets across static, animated, and interactive formats with an accent on motion-heavy video/DCO. Focus on creating reusable motion systems, interactive HTML5 templates, and translating creative gaps into scalable platform capabilities.

What you will do

• Design and produce programmatic templates spanning static, animated, and interactive formats using client assets or original concepts.
• Create motion-forward template systems like animation patterns, transitions, and reusable components with After Effects, Animate, or Google Web Designer.
• Build and maintain interactive HTML5 templates with HTML5/CSS and light JavaScript; troubleshoot issues across devices.
• Partner with engineering, creative studio, and product teams to identify customer struggles and translate into new templates, patterns, or platform features.
• Develop ad creative best practices across channels/industries and apply vertical-specific strategies to template design.
• Participate in customer discussions, own quality checks (visuals, specs, responsiveness, accessibility), and improve workflows via standards, documentation, and AI tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years as motion/visual designer or equivalent portfolio.
• Portfolio with strong digital advertising craft across display/social/web (motion required; interactive plus).
• Intermediate+ motion/animation skills and strong visual design fundamentals (composition, typography, pacing, brand).
• Practical HTML5 + CSS experience, including debugging interactive creatives.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects; Google Web Designer/Animate familiarity plus.
• Strong collaboration to translate needs into clear requirements with engineers.
