What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain query processing and optimization engine.
• Support open table formats like Iceberg ensuring correctness, performance, and extensibility.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and performance investigations.
• Partner with engineers to deliver integrated, high-performance query execution features.
• Improve vectorized query engine, distributed processing, and integrations like Python UDFs and AI inference.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with modern C++ (C++20) on production software.
• Experience building multi-threaded, high-performance systems.
• Strong background in database internals and query processing.
• Experience developing for Linux, high-performance code for network/SSD/CPU, and large-scale systems.
