Senior Product Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Product Engineer (TypeScript/Node): Developing core personal finance features to help members track spending and manage budgets with an accent on scalable interfaces and backend services. Focus on building performant user experiences using React/React Native and optimizing data flow with GraphQL and Postgres.

Location: Hybrid (Must be local to Silver Spring, NYC, SF, Miami, or Denver offices for 1-2x weekly attendance)

Salary: $150,000 - $185,000/year + bonus

What you will do

• Implement, iterate, and debug product features within a cross-functional team.
• Own projects end-to-end, balancing technical implementation with business requirements.
• Develop full-stack features using TypeScript, React, React Native, Node, and GraphQL.
• Ensure a high-quality user experience by building performant and delightful interfaces.
• Maintain high technical standards through code reviews and design discussions.
• Build and measure features based on user financial habits to improve member prosperity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with Node/TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Postgres.
• Must be local to and able to work from one of the company offices (Silver Spring, NYC, SF, Miami, or Denver) 1-2x per week.
• Strong ownership mindset and the ability to take the lead on complex technical solutions.
• Proficiency in observability and solving performance and user experience issues.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with React Native and PostgreSQL.
