Rhinosaur Gamez is looking for a 3D Creature Sculpter to create a custom procedural morph target tool for a creature-based game. The goal is to build a streamlined system similar in concept to Zbuilder Animals, but much simpler and tailored to the project’s low simple poly art style.
The tool should allow mixing whole-animal morphs from a base creature using editable percentages in Unreal Engine, with no manual sculpting or editing required in the final workflow.
🚀 Responsibilities
• Create a custom procedural tool for blending creature morphs
• Develop whole-body morph targets based on real-world animals
• Ensure the base FBX and morph data import correctly into Unreal Engine
• Make the system editable through percentage sliders in Unreal Engine
• Adapt the setup to support a large number of animal types
• Propose alternative technical solutions if the initial approach needs adjustment
📚 Required Skills
• Strong experience with 3D creature sculpting and morph targets
• Understanding of blend shapes and procedural character variation workflows
• Ability to prepare assets for Unreal Engine integration
• Experience with FBX pipelines
• Understanding of stylized low simple poly art direction
• Ability to design systems with minimal manual interaction
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
👍 Nice to Have
• Experience building tools similar to Zbuilder Animals
• Knowledge of procedural workflows for creature generation
• Experience with morph-based animation systems
• Familiarity with pixelated shader based visual styles
• Understanding of creature design using real-world animal traits
