Product Design Lead

Location: Antwerp, Flanders, Belgium. Workplace: Hybrid, with work from the Antwerp HQ.

What you will do

• Lead complex client engagements by framing ambiguous problems, running workshops, and setting design direction.
• Own the end-to-end design process across research, strategy, interaction design, UI, prototyping, service design, and visual craft.
• Coach product designers through regular 1:1s, feedback, mentoring, hiring, and onboarding.
• Maintain design standards and improve collaboration between design, product, and engineering.
• Represent design in client meetings and internal forums, ensuring it shapes strategic decisions.
• Monitor project scope, utilization, workload, and delivery risks, proposing solutions early.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in product design with the ability to move between strategy and hands-on execution.
• Strong experience across product design, service design, and strategy.
• Hands-on Figma skills and the ability to run workshops and facilitate complex discussions.
• Strong visual design, brand, motion, interaction design, and prototyping judgment.
• Experience building feedback systems, improving design culture, and helping designers grow.
• English is the working language; Dutch is a plus for client conversations and internal culture.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rive, Lovable, Framer, or Webflow.
• Understanding of design systems, accessibility, and digital sustainability.
• Curiosity about AI as a design tool and its impact on design practice.
• Mentoring, writing, event participation, community involvement, or other creative work.
