What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and manage virtual infrastructure, including hypervisors, orchestration, and VDI environments.
• Ensure high availability and implement robust resource optimization and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
• Manage VDI infrastructure including Connection Servers and Application Volumes to optimize user experience.
• Develop automation for provisioning and configuration management using PowerCLI, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Collaborate with the CyberSecurity team to harden hypervisor hosts and implement Zero Trust security models.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and perform root cause analysis for complex virtualization incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in VMware infrastructure engineering or virtualization architecture.
• Expert-level knowledge of virtualization systems such as VMware, OpenStack, or Hyper-V.
• Strong experience with VDI infrastructure and Application Volumes (e.g., VMware Horizon).
• Understanding of virtual networking (vDS, VLANs) and storage (vSAN, NFS, iSCSI) technologies.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) and willingness to relocate to Italy.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or IT.
• Professional certifications: VCAP-DCV, CCA-V, AZ-104, or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Virtualization.
• ITIL certification.
• Proficiency in vRealize Automation (vRA).
