What you will do
- Embed security considerations within system design and technical delivery.
- Align with engineering and architecture teams on controls and safeguards.
- Identify, assess, and manage security risks across systems, integrations, and data flows.
- Define and review security requirements for third-party services and vendors.
- Establish and maintain security standards, controls, and assurance processes.
- Engage stakeholders to align on security priorities and contribute to operational readiness.
Requirements
- Strong experience across application, infrastructure, and cloud security
- Solid understanding of modern web and API security risks and mitigations
- Experience with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, UK GDPR, and other UK regulations
- Knowledge of security principles like least privilege and layered defence
- Structured risk assessments, threat analysis, and defining requirements in complex environments
- Strong communication to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience in large, multi-stakeholder or regulated environments
- Exposure to programmes with multiple vendors or integrated systems
- Familiarity with large-scale digital platforms or infrastructure programmes
- Supporting operational security frameworks and readiness planning
