Salary: $55,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and maintain compelling creative strategies for nonprofits, Democratic officials, and political challengers with creative team leads.
• Manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment with internal and client teams.
• Write direct mail copy driving donations, engagement, list growth, and cultivation.
• Deliver copy consistent with organization’s voice, audience needs, brand guidelines, and sourced information.
• Contribute to client meetings and present creative work to internal teams.

Requirements

• Up to 3 years experience (including internships) writing in advocacy/political field, in someone else’s voice, or for school paper
• Detail-oriented proofreader and researcher with ability to explain thinking behind words
• Comfort receiving feedback and addressing written/live edits
• Creative, collaborative, solutions-focused multitasker able to shift priorities rapidly
• Flexible to adapt writing to prescribed voice, style, format; out-of-the-box thinking
• Passion for social change and making the world better

Nice to have

• Experience reviewing/optimizing written material based on metrics
• Background in political campaigns
