Platform Engineer

TL;DR

Platform Engineer: Develop, maintain, and enhance Backstage-powered developer portal with an accent on self-service workflows, CI/CD integration, and observability tools. Focus on creating intuitive environments, driving platform adoption across teams, and ensuring high availability in dynamic cloud setups.

Location: Worldwide, flexible work from one of our offices or fully remote. Relocation support to Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Serbia with full visa & permit support to the employee and family.

What you will do

• Create useful and intuitive developer environments that simplify complex processes and smooth infrastructure integration
• Design and implement self-service workflows balancing automation and control
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines, service catalogs, and observability tools seamlessly
• Drive platform adoption across diverse engineering teams
• Keep up with trends in platform engineering and developer productivity
• Maintain high availability and performance in dynamic cloud environments

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience with Golang, Python, or other backend languages
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven ability to integrate internal tools with APIs, GraphQL, and webhooks
• Understanding of observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, etc.)
• Familiarity with OAuth, RBAC, and security best practices
• Passion for developer experience, automation, and open-source contributions

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Backstage or similar internal developer portals
• Knowledge of Temporal or other workflow orchestration tools
