What you will do

• Migrate large-scale WordPress websites to new hosting platforms with minimal disruption.
• Upgrade and maintain WordPress themes, including transitioning between framework versions such as Sage 9 to Sage 11.
• Develop custom WordPress functionality using core APIs, hooks, filters, and industry best practices.
• Build and enhance frontend and backend components using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Implement and optimize build pipelines and automation workflows using Webpack, NPM, and Yarn.
• Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams to deliver responsive and accessible web experiences.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in web development with a strong focus on WordPress.
• Proven experience migrating WordPress websites between hosting platforms.
• Strong proficiency in PHP for backend development and solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience with WordPress core functions, hooks, filters, and theme development.
• Proficiency with build tools (Webpack, NPM, Yarn) and version control systems (Git).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and practices.
• Exposure to agile development methodologies.
• Experience working on large-scale or high-traffic enterprise platforms.
