Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes/AWS/Golang): Architect, upgrade, design, and build scalable infrastructure solutions leveraging Kubernetes, AWS, RDS with an accent on reliability, recoverability, and scalability. Focus on driving capacity planning, anomaly detection, AI enablement efforts, and establishing engineering best practices for observability, security, and CI/CD.

Location: Remote (Türkiye). Fixed schedule 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM EST.

Salary: $5,000 - $9,500 per month (Gross USD)

What you will do

• Architect, upgrade, design, and build scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, AWS, RDS (MySQL/Postgres), and distributed patterns.
• Drive infrastructure roadmap for higher reliability, recoverability, scalability, capacity planning, and stress testing.
• Define, maintain SLAs, alerts, anomaly detection, and lead AI enablement for infrastructure and tooling.
• Build consistency in distributed microservices architecture, performance, and reliability.
• Establish observability, security, CI/CD best practices and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business goals into technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• 6+ years professional software/infrastructure engineering, SRE, backend experience; recent production changes.
• Strong proficiency in Golang, RESTful APIs, SQL RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL) optimization at scale.
• Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).
• Distributed systems design (transactional outbox, event-driven, queues).
• Ability to lead initiatives, influence decisions; Bachelor’s in CS or equivalent.

Nice to have

• AWS (Aurora RDS MySQL/Postgres), data pipelines/warehousing.
• CI/CD, containerized microservices in Kubernetes.
• AI tooling (Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, Cursor).
• Shipping commercial APIs/data apps in high-growth; technical leadership.
