What you will do

• Lead platform porting and BSP development for switch ASIC platforms, including hardware bring-up and driver integration.
• Design and implement control plane and data plane components for SONiC and FBOSS architectures.
• Develop platform services and daemons for hardware monitoring, configuration, and management.
• Collaborate with SAI/SDK teams to integrate switch abstraction layers.
• Build and maintain test frameworks, automation, and CI/CD pipelines for NOS platform validation.
• Profile and optimize NOS performance for latency and throughput.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 7-10 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience in Linux systems programming and networking stacks.
• Background in switch/networking hardware or network operating system development.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with SONiC or FBOSS platform development.
• Linux kernel and driver development expertise.
• Network protocol implementation experience (L2/L3, BGP, OSPF).
• History of open-source contributions to networking projects.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
