Middle/Senior Build Engineer (Android)

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software integration issues, including merge conflicts, compilation errors, and bisect builds.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA, and Production teams to ensure the delivery of quality software releases.
• Manage build systems and manifests using Git, repo, and various branching strategies.
• Develop and monitor metrics to analyze and improve build system performance.
• Utilize a modern toolstack including JIRA, Jenkins, Gerrit, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Create automation scripts using Python, Bash, and Groovy.

Requirements

• Experience in build integration and release engineering.
• Strong proficiency with Android build systems (AOSP, Make, Soong).
• Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Buildkite.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and automation scripting (Python, Bash).
• Knowledge of Git, repo, and manifest management.
• Must be based in Ukraine

Nice to have

• Experience working with BSPs from vendors like MediaTek or Qualcomm.
• Knowledge of OTA systems and update frameworks.
• Experience with large-scale device deployments and telemetry-driven validation.
• Familiarity with Android system architecture (HAL, framework, services).
