What you will do

• Own end-to-end frontend features from technical design and implementation to testing and release.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple teams, setting architectural direction and raising engineering standards.
• Build polished, performant, and accessible user interfaces for AI-powered capabilities.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and ML Engineers to integrate AI features seamlessly.
• Identify and address technical debt to improve the reliability and maintainability of frontend systems.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Deep understanding of modern frontend architecture, web fundamentals, browser APIs, and accessibility.
• Experience with frontend testing using Jest and React Testing Library.
• Proven track record of owning complex features end-to-end in a production environment.
• Must be based in Portugal and able to work hybridly from the Lisbon office.

Nice to have

• Working proficiency in Ruby (Rails).
• Experience with design systems and building shared component libraries at scale.
• Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures or module federation.
• Experience building user interfaces specifically for AI/ML-powered features.
• Experience with Storybook and frontend observability tools like Sentry, Pendo, or Segment.
