What you will do

  • Conduct capability assessments across Medical Affairs to define global learning priorities aligned with portfolio goals.
  • Design and implement role-based learning journeys for MSLs, Medical Directors, and Scientific Communications teams.
  • Establish frameworks to track training progress, effectiveness, and impact across different regions and affiliates.
  • Collaborate with HR, L&D, Compliance, and Commercial teams to align content and incorporate field insights.
  • Manage learning tools and digital platforms to enhance engagement and measure adoption.
  • Benchmark against industry standards and champion a culture of continuous learning and peer-learning networks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Training, or L&D within pharma or biotech.
  • Solid understanding of Medical Affairs functions, including MSL, Medical Director, and Scientific Communication roles.
  • Experience designing and delivering adult learning programs in scientific or regulated environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field (Advanced degree PharmD, PhD, MD preferred).
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization and lead without direct authority.

Nice to have

  • Experience in rare disease or specialty therapeutic areas.
  • MBA or additional leadership and organizational development training.
  • Expertise in digital learning, e-learning design, or learning technology platforms.
  • Experience managing global or multi-affiliate teams.
  • Track record of measuring training impact using KPIs or performance outcomes.
