TL;DR

Medical Advisor (Rare Disease): Delivering the strategic medical plan for allocated therapy areas within the UK and Ireland market with an accent on scientific communication and evidence generation. Location: Field based, ideally located near Manchester or London

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (Full Time Equivalent)

What you will do

  • Act as the primary expert medical resource for relevant products and disease areas.
  • Develop and execute the UKI Medical Affairs plan to support medicines in assigned therapy areas.
  • Manage real-world evidence studies and Phase III & IV clinical development, including local investigator-initiated studies.
  • Organize and lead regional and national advisory boards.
  • Collaborate with Market Access to support HTA submissions to NICE, AWMSG, SMC, and NCPE.
  • Review and approve materials for compliance with the ABPI/IPHA Code of Practice.

Requirements

  • Degree in biological science, medicine, or pharmacy (GMC or GPhC registration preferred).
  • Essential industry experience within a medical affairs function; rare disease experience is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of the ABPI/IPHA Code of Practice.
  • Ability to work part-time (3 consecutive days per week).
  • Ability to travel for field activities and international conferences.
  • Experience implementing pharmacovigilance requirements and regulatory frameworks.
