What you will do

• Draft and maintain regulatory documentation for asset-backed securities, including prospectuses, contracts, and investor disclosures.
• Provide legal guidance on EU financial regulatory frameworks, including MiFID II, PRIIPs, MAR, and the Prospectus Regulation.
• Collaborate with Product and UX design teams to ensure compliant development of investment services.
• Review marketing materials across web and app campaigns to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Manage cross-border passporting of services and communicate with the Bank of Latvia and other national authorities.
• Negotiate contracts with service providers and handle complex regulatory inquiries or investor complaints.

Requirements

• Law degree from a reputable university.
• 3+ years of experience in financial services law within the EU (law firm, bank, or regulated financial institution).
• Hands-on experience with MiFID II, PRIIPs, MAR, and Prospectus Regulation.
• Very good command of English and Latvian (written and spoken).
• Strong legal drafting skills and ability to communicate complex requirements in a business-oriented manner.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in law or LLM.
• Experience with cross-border passporting and multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks.
• Background in fintech, securities, or investment products.
• Knowledge of additional EU or non-EU regulatory regimes.
