What you will do

• Design and develop backend services using FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy
• Build API-driven data processing and orchestration frameworks
• Implement asynchronous processing with Python asyncio for scalable workloads
• Integrate with Azure services like ADLS, ADF, and Databricks
• Develop data models, validation, persistence, observability, logging, and monitoring
• Write unit/integration tests with Pytest and contribute to CI/CD and deployments
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, product owners; participate in reviews and optimizations

Requirements

• Strong Python backend development experience
• REST API design and microservices architecture
• Hands-on with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy
• Azure experience; familiarity with ADLS, Azure Data Factory/Databricks preferred
• Python asyncio, high-throughput/low-latency design
• Pytest for unit/integration/API testing
• Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD practices

• Performance testing and tuning
• Terraform/IaC
• Observability frameworks (OpenTelemetry, logging, tracing)
• Data engineering or data platform experience
