What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and underwrite new and renewal commercial surety bonds.
• Evaluate financial condition, credit history, experience, character, and other risk factors for bond applicants.
• Price, quote, negotiate terms and conditions, service accounts, and decline or cancel coverage when appropriate.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with independent agents and brokers.
• Contribute to underwriting and processing systems, standardization, and efficiency improvements.
• Attend occasional agent meetings and industry events, travel overnight when needed, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• US work authorization is required.
• Visa sponsorship is not provided now or in the future.
• At least 2 years of industry experience.
• Experience analyzing bond applications and making objective and subjective underwriting decisions.
• Knowledge of legal documents, indemnity agreements, statutes, bond forms, insurance laws, financial principles, and accounting.
• Strong communication, negotiation, customer service, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
