What you will do

• Own the security engineering roadmap and delivery, including setting OKRs and managing BAU workload.
• Scale security controls and processes as the business launches into new international markets.
• Mature the AI governance framework, integrating technical controls and policies to reduce risk.
• Lead incident readiness and response strategies for a global business operation.
• Grow and develop the security engineering team through coaching and fostering a culture of ownership.

Requirements

• Experience leading security engineers and delivering technical security initiatives in a fast-moving product company.
• Expertise at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, application security, and GRC.
• Strong grasp of threats and mitigation strategies for cloud-native environments.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs such as M&A integration or enterprise-wide control rollouts.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical risks for non-technical partners.

Nice to have

• Experience leading incident response across multiple time zones and jurisdictions.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, GDPR, or the Australian Privacy Act.
• Exposure to GCP, Kubernetes, and GraphQL-based architectures.
