Salary: $143,000 - $218,500 USD annually

What you will do

• Own the vision and execution of systemic features, including progression frameworks, player economy, and multiplayer mechanics.
• Create detailed documentation and mockups for foundational gameplay systems.
• Mentor, direct, and guide a team of designers through iteration, balancing, and delivery.
• Define fair reward structures for both solo and group play.
• Collaborate with network engineers and producers to ensure systems are scalable for online play.
• Partner with narrative and UI/UX teams to ensure thematic consistency with Witcher lore.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional game design experience.
• 4+ years specifically in system design roles.
• Proven track record of designing progression, economies, or multiplayer systems in shipped titles.
• Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 (UE5).
• Prior experience managing or mentoring other designers.
• Must be based in Boston, US.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with The Witcher universe and its thematic systems (alchemy, crafting, etc.).
• Experience with procedural content generation systems.
• Background in online multiplayer titles.
