What you will do

• Build ownership and accountability culture in the Lisbon office amid rapid business growth.
• Develop direct reports as managers, leaders, engineers, and teammates.
• Recruit engineering managers and software engineers, and boost visibility in Portugal's tech community.
• Enable team autonomy with necessary tools for frictionless delivery.
• Lead initiatives to enhance systems and processes supporting company mission.
• Deliver engineering strategy, contribute hands-on to roadmaps, ADRs, and technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to execute roadmaps.
• Guide Product Experience and Platform teams for better stability, security, and quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering
• 5+ years in people management (ideally distributed)
• 3+ years managing managers and senior ICs (ideally distributed)
• Fluency in English

Nice to have

• Experience at scaling company (100-500 employees)
• Distributed teams across timezones
• BS in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Management, or similar
