What you will do
- Build ownership and accountability culture in the Lisbon office amid rapid business growth.
- Develop direct reports as managers, leaders, engineers, and teammates.
- Recruit engineering managers and software engineers, and boost visibility in Portugal's tech community.
- Enable team autonomy with necessary tools for frictionless delivery.
- Lead initiatives to enhance systems and processes supporting company mission.
- Deliver engineering strategy, contribute hands-on to roadmaps, ADRs, and technical deliverables.
- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to execute roadmaps.
- Guide Product Experience and Platform teams for better stability, security, and quality.
Requirements
- 8+ years in software engineering
- 5+ years in people management (ideally distributed)
- 3+ years managing managers and senior ICs (ideally distributed)
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Experience at scaling company (100-500 employees)
- Distributed teams across timezones
- BS in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Management, or similar
