Network Engineer

Location: Remote in Canada

What you will do

• Deploy, configure, and maintain network infrastructure ensuring stability and scalability
• Monitor performance with Zabbix, Grafana, PRTG; identify and resolve issues proactively
• Manage incidents and service requests per SLA, coordinating with vendors
• Maintain documentation and inventory, automate routine processes
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, implement preventive measures
• Provide on-call support and collaborate with admins, security teams

Requirements

• Canada-based for remote work
• Strong experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Firepower
• Advanced knowledge of VXLAN EVPN, BGP, OSPF, STP, GRE, L2TP, IPsec, LACP, vPC
• Familiarity with Linux, Hyper-V, VMware network services
• Experience with Python, Ansible for automation
• Proficiency in Zabbix, Grafana, PRTG, NetBox; tcpdump, Wireshark, iPerf, nmap
• Network security: ACLs, NAT, segmentation, firewalls, IDS/IPS
• Detailed documentation skills, analytical and communication abilities
