QA Engineer

TL;DR

QA Engineer (Optics Manufacturing): Plan and manage product quality including qualification, design validation, and process improvements with an accent on customer requirements, nonconforming materials disposition, and supplier quality management. Focus on applying statistical tools and Six Sigma for yield improvement, coordinating corrective actions, and supporting audits and certifications.

What you will do

• Plan product quality, create documentation like ATP, ATR, IP, SOPs, and test procedures.
• Contribute to New Product Introduction, specification verification, and yield improvement using statistical tools and Six Sigma.
• Participate in Material Review Board, manage customer returns (RMA), and perform root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Analyze customer quality performance and coordinate corrective/preventative actions.
• Support Quality Management System maintenance (AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485), audits, and training.
• Manage supplier quality: review records, issue SCARs, and facilitate MRB meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Optics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred; or Associate/Diploma with 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing, optics industry advantage.
• Background in life sciences, medical, semiconductor, optronics, or avionics preferred.
• Experience in customer/supplier quality, NPI, product quality planning, ISO cleanroom/GMP, change control.
• Certified auditor in ISO 9001/AS9100 highly desirable.
