Lead Product Software Architect (AI & Data)

Location: Hoevelaken, Netherlands; hybrid working with up to 2 office days per week

What you will do

• Define end-to-end architectures for customer-facing predictive ML, recommendation, GenAI, and agentic workflow capabilities.
• Modernize legacy data estates using governed, scalable patterns such as lakehouse, data mesh, curated layers, data products, and contracts.
• Establish integration patterns across product services, data systems, APIs, events, and model or agent serving components.
• Define reusable MLOps and LLMOps standards for feature stores, model registries, experiment tracking, promotion workflows, monitoring, and retraining.
• Embed responsible AI, privacy, security, auditability, and compliance controls into the AI and data lifecycle.
• Lead through architecture reviews, mentoring, coaching, and pragmatic communication with product, engineering, security, privacy, legal, and leadership stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience building and evolving complex software products, including required SaaS or distributed-systems experience and architectural leadership.
• Production experience integrating AI/ML or GenAI into customer-facing software, including monitoring and operations.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, integration, pipelines, lineage, scalable storage and compute, data quality, metadata, and discoverability.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data products and contracts, canonical models, semantic patterns, and event-driven or streaming architectures.
• Practical DataOps/MLOps experience with environments, CI/CD, promotion gates, drift detection, rollback, incident patterns, and operational monitoring.
• Experience designing secure AI systems and producing architecture blueprints, specifications, ADRs, and reference implementations.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering lakehouse or data mesh transformations at scale with strong governance and catalog patterns.
