Senior Data Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer (PySpark/Databricks): Analyzing, validating, extracting, transforming, and orchestrating large-scale data from multiple sources to build client-scale data solutions with an accent on data quality, integrity, compliance, and architecture. Focus on designing optimized ELT/ETL pipelines, data models, fine-tuning queries, and collaborating with bank stakeholders on use cases and implementations.

Location: Bangkok, Hybrid (Thai language fluency required)

What you will do

• Drive client consultations to define and deliver optimal data solutions for their use cases.
• Analyze and collect data from multiple sources, validate semantics and metrics with stakeholders.
• Design and implement data orchestration, models, and pipelines following architecture standards.
• Optimize data queries, ensure compliance with GDPR/PDPA/HIPAA, and produce technical design documents.
• Support pre-sales, sprint deliveries, and mentor junior engineers while staying current with data trends.

Requirements

• 5+ years in data engineering, specifically in BFSI
• Thai language fluency
• Experience in consultancy, API calls, SQL, Python, PySpark for ELT/ETL pipelines
• Knowledge of data modeling/architecture, Databricks, Azure Data Factory/DevOps
• Worked with bank/client engineers on data discovery, quality rules, model implementation
• Strong analytical skills for complex datasets; ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice to have

• Experience in loan business data, Databricks certification
• AWS/Azure/GCP certifications, data viz tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Docker/Kubernetes, ML/AI areas, ETL orchestration (Airflow), SI vendor experience
• Degree in Math/Stats/Data/CS; statistical/ML concepts
