SRE / Platform Infrastructure Engineer Intern (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Remote in Colombia

Salary: 2,800,000 COP per month

What you will do

• Assist with building, maintaining, and improving infrastructure using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance and help troubleshoot production and staging issues.
• Improve observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and similar tools.
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve developer workflows through scripts and tooling.
• Participate in on-call shadowing, incident reviews, and performance and scalability initiatives.
• Maintain operational documentation and runbooks while experimenting with AI automation tools.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS, Linux systems, and networking.
• Familiarity with Golang, Python, or a similar programming language.
• Interest in distributed systems, reliability, infrastructure engineering, and automation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.
• Demonstrated experience with Claude or an equivalent large language model tool is required.

Nice to have

• Basic database knowledge, including MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, logging, Git, and CI/CD concepts.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and developer tooling.
