What you will do

• Administer and maintain log servers including upgrades, patching, and migrations.
• Manage log archiving, retention policies, and backup strategies.
• Onboard new log sources from cloud platforms, applications, network devices, and endpoints.
• Perform log parsing, normalization, and selective event ingestion to optimize SIEM performance.
• Develop scripts (e.g., Python, Shell) for log processing, automation, and system tasks.
• Create dashboards, reports, and configure alerts for log ingestion health and security insights.

Requirements

• Complete Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Hands-on experience with Syslog technologies (NXLOG, syslog-ng, Snare, rsyslog).
• Contact with log management, SIEM engineering, or security data operations.
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills.
• Proven experience with cloud log ingestion (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with APIs and log streaming technologies.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as Splunk Certified Architect, Elastic Certified Engineer, CISSP, GIAC.
• Experience with SOAR platforms and playbook development.
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and their logging mechanisms.
