What you will do

• Extend backend APIs, business logic, and database queries using PHP (Laravel/Symfony).
• Build and enhance UI components utilizing React and modern JavaScript.
• Deliver features end-to-end from initial requirements to production deployment.
• Modernize legacy PHP/jQuery codebases into modern full-stack patterns.
• Write automated tests for both backend and frontend flows using PHPUnit and Jest.
• Collaborate directly with product and design teams in an async-friendly, remote-first environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and maintaining scalable web applications.
• Strong PHP fundamentals including OOP, MVC, and Laravel/Symfony frameworks.
• Proven experience in full-stack development (PHP backend and JS frontend).
• Proficiency with REST APIs, relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and caching (Redis).
• Experience implementing and building AI tools and Agents.
• Must be based in Brazil or Mexico.

Nice to have

• Experience building SaaS or e-commerce platforms.
• Expertise in migrating legacy PHP apps to modern frameworks.
• Knowledge of microservices, modular architectures, or API-first designs.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS or GCP.
