Combat Designer (Gamedev): Refining core combat systems and enemy behavior for an unannounced first-person project with an accent on systemic balance and enemy AI. Focus on developing engaging melee combat experiences, adjusting game meta, and integrating advanced AI frameworks.
Location: On-site in Stockholm, Sweden (Hybrid: 4 days office, 1 day optional WFH)

What you will do
- Refine core combat systems and enemy behavior to align with the game vision.
- Develop new enemies to enhance the gameplay experience in collaboration with the team.
- Balance and adjust combat systems and scenarios based on the game's meta to ensure an engaging player experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Game Designer.
- Proven experience with enemy design and first-person games.
- Strong scripting knowledge.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Shipped at least one AAA or equivalent title.
- Deep knowledge of multiplayer, cooperative, or RPG games.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5 and its Gameplay Ability System.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks such as Behavior Trees, GOAP, or State Machines.
- Knowledge of Vermintide and Darktide core mechanics.
