What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Drupal 11 custom modules, APIs, and configurations for high-traffic web services.
• Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks within the codebase.
• Implement comprehensive testing suites using Cypress and PHPUnit.
• Manage DDEV Docker-based local development environments and collaborative Git workflows.
• Coach and mentor peers on Drupal architecture, backend best practices, and security awareness.
• Ensure all backend configurations and API outputs align with federal accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG).

Requirements

• 6+ years of Drupal development experience with expertise in Drupal 11.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal public trust clearance.
• Must meet CMS residency requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Git, Docker (DDEV), Xdebug, and PHPUnit/Cypress.
• Experience developing custom Drupal modules and working with Twig templating.

Nice to have

• Experience with React and progressively decoupled Drupal architectures.
• Familiarity with search solutions like Apache Solr or Google Vertex AI Search.
• Active contributions to the Drupal.org open-source community.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools like GitHub Copilot.
